So, this Saturday is the day that the Outlander Fandom has been dreading for, well years in some cases. The events of Wentworth Prison are tragic, and horrible, and harrowing, and traumatic.
It is an hour of television that will be talked about, cheered and jeered, critiqued and celebrated, debated and avoided. I am assuming that we are about to get performances from our Intrepid Trio– Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, & Tobias Menzies that will be deserving of every award that television has to offer.
Now, who thinks it is a coincidence that May 16th is also World Whisky Day?
I have my whisky and my extra fluffy blankets all ready for Saturday. It will be a difficult episode for me to watch but I’ve decided that I’m going to watch every second. It was Diana (through Jamie) who showed me that being a victim was my choice, not my rapist’s and like Jamie, I chose to be a survivor instead.
So buckle up buttercup, we’re in for a bumpy ride but we’ll live and there is going to be such a lovely reward for our sacrifice, it will all be worth it.
See you on Saturday… Slàinte Mhath!

You my dear lady are beyond Awesomeness!! I love your posts, your humor and your candor. I too will dread the feelings the episode will evoke, but like you for these amazing actors and for Diana’s story I need to watch. I know the redemption that comes after!!
