Let The Emmy Campaign Begin

We want our show to get the recognition it deserves and on as many fronts as possible. It is the least we can do for the gift that all involved have given to us. It is a gift that keeps on giving and we would love to see them honored for all that they have done and will do! You can help so let the Emmy Campaign Begin!!

Help create buzz for Outlander for the various categories by following these steps:
a) Find a tweet, online interview, or recap posted by any entertainment news or media outlet that you can RT reply with your Emmy Campaign Tweet. For example: E!Online, TV Guide, Access Hollywood, Variety, People, The Hollywood Reporter, Buzz, EW, USWeekly, YahooTV, Rolling Stone, Time Magazine etc.

TIPS: Check out RTs by @Outlander_Starz and @SamHeughan and @caitrionambalfe and @OutlanderOnline to get you started. It does not help the campaign if we just post Emmy Tweets among our fandom only. Be sure you include the source media outlet or journalist/interviewer in your tweet. It’s best to reply to their tweet AND include link to the article or video. If you can’t find original tweet then share their article via twitter icon then reply to that post.

b) Reply to the tweet with a SPECIFIC AWARD CATEGORY that you that you want to promote. Mention @Outlander_Starz in the tweet & share evidence for the SPECIFIC AWARD CATEGORY: such as your comment or a meme or picture or gif that supports the category. For example: If you wanted to promote @draiochta14 & her team for Outstanding Costume Design then you would share pics of the costumes. Remember to include a link to the press article or video in your reply Tweet.

NOTE: Directing, Writing awards are for specific episodes so you need to be clear on which episode along with name of Director or Writer you are promoting.

c) Be sure to include appropriate hashtags depending where the category falls (see Campaign Guides)

For major categories for Primetime Emmys use:#Emmys2015 #EmmysForOutlander

For crew and behind-the-scenes Creative Arts categories use: #CreativeArtsEmmys #EmmysForOutlander

d) If you post a photo/meme,add #EmmysForOutlander on the photo or meme. Tag w/ various Outlander fan groups or specific fans so that we can RT your campaign post. Also, tag @STARZPR so that we keep their public relations folks in the loop. On your Emmys meme, you can also add a quote from the press article & credit the quote to the writer/journalist.

e) Repeat for various categories and for different media/news posts. If you can send at least one a day, then that would be a great help!

HERE you will find an example of an #EmmysForOutlander tweet combining all these elements.

I have two of my #365DaysOfOutlander photos made ready to include to aid in the campaign effort! Nominations may not be announced until July but this is the best time to campaign and we will campaign hard! The Primetime Emmy’s will be in September. We are not new to the campaign front so let’s make the whole Outlander cast, crew, writers, directors, producers, and costume and music department as proud of us as we are of them! We got this because Outlanders #DoEpicShit!

So is there anything can be done on fb instead of TW ?

    • Nymerias says:

Yes we can post things on Twitter, in a group or pages to get the word out. Twitter is the quickest way due to retweets. If we can follow media pages, like EW etc, things can be posted there as well. Outlander page etc!

  2. Clio Green says:

Shame on you. 😛 You totally forgot Laura and Lotte for Best Guest Appearence by an actress.

    • Nymerias says:

We have not started yet hun, this is just a guideline for the campaign. We have not forgotten anyone.

I am not sure you could classify their spots on Outlander as ‘guest spots’ so that is something to look into.

A guest appearance is someone more akin to the Duke of Sandrigham as we will only see him once, maybe twice.
