Outlander QOTW: I’m So Excited!

It’s Sunday, so that means I’ve got a question. The entire fandom is poised to dive back into the luscious TV show that Ronald D. Moore and his Merry Band of TV Elves have given us.

And so, in the spirit of Droughtlander coming to an end, (well for a while, but let’s not go there yet) here is my question.

For book readers, what is the ONE thing you’re most looking forward to see in 1×09 “The Reckoning”?  For show only folks, what are you most nervous about?

I personally am looking forward to the YOU KNOW WHAT after the Ft. William rescue. I cannot wait to see how they portray it. Cait and Sam have done such an amazing job of bringing these two characters to life and in every single scene that I was waiting to see, they have totally NAILED it every time.  And the YOU KNOW WHAT is a pivotal moment in the lives of these characters and sets a tone for their marriage and I’m very excited to see Sam and Cait bring it to life.

So tell me, what are you excited or nervous about?

    Jamie and BJR in Wentworth Prison ! Reading is o e thing but seeing can be more difficult.

    I too am consumed with curiosity on how they will handle YOU KNOW WHAT. And the makeup scene….. 🙂

    I believe you said ep 9 and no other but I may have misunderstood /”but for ep 9 It is hard to pick . Maybe the make up sex after their argument about Jamie meeting leghair in The corredor / But a close second is J&C escape from BJR / 3rd seeing just how far the writers have taken the audience to view Claire receiving punishment from Jamie for breaking her promise to him.

    The spanking Jamie administers to Claire for endangering everyone. Very controversial in 21st century but not considered abusive in 18th. In the book Claire was fearful, acquiesced, then ferocious. Can’t wait to see how they handle that scene. Wore me out just reading it.

    The punishment! I hope they just don’t blow over it being all PC. It is a very important part of the relationship. I have heard that a lot of blame will get put on Willie.
