…..or #OutlanderRewind that, to help promote the show and for a chance to win a
date, I mean follow with Sam Heughan! I must apologize because I have been a little out of touch with the Win a follow (for a week) with Sam. Life just seems to get in the way like that but I did vow to try to keep up with it as much as I could. I still find it very interesting and a great way for Sam to hang out (so to speak) with a lucky fan. It is great PR for the show, for him and his charity and helps with the dreaded #Droughtlander.
Now , as I said I lost track of how Sam’s last couple of followers were chosen, or rather how they won. I only know who won and were lucky fans for a week. Bad Blogger I know! I will reprimand myself later okay! I do know that the latest lucky lass was hand picked by the last winner and for good reasons. I won’t delve into that story as it is her own and she has already shared it. Her idea for the next fan follow is a great one and has many benefits!
This is the type of contest that kills more than two birds with one stone!
#OutlanderRewind will start trending and will get fans back in the habit of doing so once the second half starts airing. Droughtlander has been hard on us all as the wait has been very painful but fans have chipped in to make that wait less painful.
As I said in previous posts, this whole fan follow idea is great PR for the show, keeps people talking, keeps fans interested throughout the long hiatus. Starz PR, actors, writers, designers, producers, and bloggers have been working hard on social media to keep fans engaged.
Basically, the idea behind the contest to be Sam’s next fan follow promotes the show which creates more viewers, which generates more ratings, which creates more income. Loyal fans will then get more seasons as a result, so everyone wins!
More information regarding the contest can be found HERE!
This should be really fun so don’t forget to watch ‘The Wedding’ tomorrow and to participate on Twitter while it’s airing using the hashtag #OutlanderRewind. and not just tomorrow night but every Saturday night if possible!
